The Community-Based Natural Resource Management Network

This Category contains aggregate and structured CBNRM knowledge for countries. The country overviews present the situation with regard to CBNRM at the level of countries. Such overviews are of crucial importance for CBNRM, including for CBNRM practitioners and other CBNRM stakeholders, and for advancing the CBNRM agenda. For information on the coverage of the regions used see Category Regions.

CBNRM can be addressed at a number of levels, ranging from a local community to a continent. Here structured and aggregate knowledge for one such level, namely countries, are presented. The knowledge produced on this level as well as the regional level (see Category Regions), are closely related. They are also related to knowledge produced on the local level, namely Category Cases (see also Category CBNRM Net).

The knowledge produced at the country level is closely related to knowledge produced at other key levels, namely case studies (see Category Cases) and regional overviews (see Group Regions). The country overviews are structured in a way that facilitate comparison and mutual transfer of knowledge with these two knowledge products (see Category CBNRM Net).

More specifically, regional overviews provide important background to - and function as structuring frameworks for - country overviews, while country-specific case studies provide detail and give substance to the country overviews. Vice versa, country overviews give background to and function as structuring frameworks for country-specific case studies while also giving input into regional overviews.
